Briton Ferry suffered their first defeat of the season as the reds lose 3-0 at the Rock. In a hard fought game Wrexham came out on top.
The host began the game well and but the Reds on the back foot early on. Courtney Young was need to save early on but Wrexham’s pressure told as Abbie Iddenden gave them the lead after 12 minutes. Lilli Jones double the home teams lead on 16 minutes. The Reds tried to get back into the game Alison Witt’s hit the post from a free kick and Laura-May Walkley’s header was cleared.
Ferry started the second half better but soon found themselves three down as Oliva Fuller scored in the 56th minute. The Reds tried to get forward and back into the game but were unable to get a goal back.
The Reds drop to fourth place in the table and will turn to Adran Trophy action next week as they face Penybont at Old Road.
Wrexham had an early chance as Rosie Hughes was sent though but her shot went straight at Courtney Young. Young was need again soon after when she saved Abbie Iddenden effort from the left.
Iddenden tested Young again as she took aim form outside the box but again Young was able to make the save.
The host’s took the lead when Iddenden was sent though and this time she put the ball past Young.
Wrexham added a second after 26 minutes when Lilli Jones' long range effort went in.
Ferry first chance at goal came when Jess Denscombe tried from distance but it weas straight at Liz Craven.
Laura-may Walkley was fouled just outside the box winning the Reds a free kick. Alison Witts took the free kick and looked to have pulled one back before the ball crashed back of the post with Craven well beaten.
Walkley then had a chance to pull a goal back when she was able to get on Lucy Powell's corner. Walkley’s header being cleared away by a defender.

Ferry wanted a penalty when Alison Witts appeared to be brought down in the box following Maia Owen’s cross into her.
Alison Witts whipped a ball in from the left but Craven cut it out before Maia Owen could reach it.
Ferry were three down after 56 minutes when Olivia Fuller scored from close range. Fuller scoring after a save from Young.
Alison Witts tried from a free kick from the left of the box. Witts rolling the ball under the wall but straight at the keeper.
Fleur Jenkins tried from distance but her low shot again went straight at the keeper.
Ferry kept battling till the end but the home side stayed strong to claim the three points.
