Briton Ferry Llansawel secured a second placed finish in Adran Premier with a 3-1 win over Wrexham at Stok Cae Ras.
The first half saw end to end action as Wrexham started brightly before Briton Ferry came back into the game. The Reds took the lead in the 27th minute thanks to a header from Tija Richardson. Their was short lived as Abbie Iddenden levelled the scores in the 34th minute. Just before the break and The Reds were back in front as Jade Crofts scored her second for the club.
The second half saw Ferry extend their lead after 53 minutes thanks to Laura-May Walkley. Walkley capitalising a mistake at the back. Wrexham then pushed forward and pressured the Reds to try and get back into the game. Despite having large spells with the ball and multiple corners they were unable to really trouble Courtney Young.

The win will ensure that the Reds will finish in second place this season with Cardiff City winning the title after their win over The New Saints.
On a sunny afternoon at Stok Cae Ras Wrexham looked to start quickly and push forward from the kick off.
It was Ferry however that had the games first shot. Maia Owen getting the ball from Alice Broadley on the left and cutting inside. Owen fired a low shot just wide of the goal.
Ava Suckley went close for Wrexham when she received the ball on the edge of the box. Suckley hitting a low shot that went just wide.
The Reds then had a free kick on the right which Jess Denscombe sent into the box. The ball came back out to Llewellyn who sent a shot wide.
The Reds took the lead in the 27th minute when Tija Richardson headed home. After Wrexham cleared from a Reds corner Alice Broadley sent the ball back into the box finding Richardson in space. Richardson then steered the ball past the keeper.

Wrexham up their tempo after going behind and were level in the 34th minute with a scrappy goal that saw Abbie Iddenden score form close range.
The host’s had another chance when Suckley rose well to head just wide from a decent cross into the box.
After absorbing the pressure the Reds went on a quick break. Meg Kearle sliding the ball into the path of Jade Crofts who hit a low shot across goal to restore Ferry’s lead.

Wrexham started quickly again in the second half and forced an early corner. The ball was sent into the Reds box but Courtney Young claimed the ball.
Despite Wrexham’s quick start the reds went close to a third. Crofts with another low shot that was saved by the keeper. Maia Owen tired to turn in the loose ball but Wrexham managed to clear.

Just minutes later and The Reds did get a third. A poor pass allowed Laura-May Walkley to make her way into the box and go around Liz Craven to put the ball into the empty net.
Wrexham responded and forced three corners in a row as they looked to get the ball in at the near post. The Reds battled and kept the hosts at bay.
Wrexham tried to get back into the game and swung the ball into the box for Iddenden but she sent her header wide of the goal.
Lucy Powell then sent a pin point pass into the box finding Walkley. Walkley tried to curl the ball around Craven but the keeper pulled of a good save to deny her.
Maia Owen hit the bar as Ferry almost caught Wrexham on the counter, Owen’s lob over the keeper bouncing off the top of the crossbar. The ball fell to Lucy Powell who also went close as her shot went just wide.

With the clock running down Wrexham pushed and pressured Ferry to try and mount a comeback in front of a 2000+ crowd. They were held off by the Reds who claim a famous victory at the worlds oldest international football stadium. (Fact brought to you by Lexi Clayton).
