Briton Ferry Llansawel Ladies are delighted to announce that they have appointed Rhys James as their First Team Manager to replace Isaac Berry.
Rhys has been Isaac’s assistant for the past two years and has also worked as a number two at Cyncoed Ladies and has previously coached the Welsh University team.
Rhys has named current Under 19s Head Coach Ben Gorvett to be his number two and they will start planning for next season with immediate effect.
The club’s General Manager for Women’s & Girl’s football Ross Norgrove had the following to after Rhys’s appointment:
We carefully considered what is the best way forward for the club and having been very impressed with Rhys in the time he’s worked alongside Isaac he was the obvious choice.
He is respected by the players and the club felt that it was important to see some continuity and Rhys is the perfect candidate to provide that.
We were delighted when he accepted the position and he quickly moved to bring in Ben as his Assistant Manager.
I look forward to working more closely with Rhys and seeing what he can do with this group of players to build on the progress made over the last 2 seasons.
