Lucy Powell scored twice and got four assists as Briton Ferry Llansawel won 11-1 at Penydarren.
The Reds made a quick start to the game going on the front foot right from kick off. Penydarren held firm until the 18th minute when Meg Kearle opened the scoring. Fleur Jenkins and Laura-May Walkley added two each in a frantic five minute spell for the Reds. Before half time there was time for Walkley to finish off her hat trick and Alison Witts to add a seventh.
The second half saw the Reds add more goals as Aimee Heath added an eighth after 62 minutes. Lexi Clayton finished off a well worked corner in the 71st minute and Lucy Powell added two more in 83rd and 90th minute. The hosts were able to get a goal in added time Amy Davies scoring in the third minute of added time.
A good play behind the Penydarren defence from Jess Denscombe found Alison Witts’ run. Witts was unable to control and the ball run though to the keeper.
Denscombe then took a quick throw and sent Meg Kearle away. Kearle pulled the ball back to the edge of the area to Fleur Jenkins who created some space with a clever drag back and sent a curling effort just wide.
The Reds broke quickly when Lexi Clayton’s pass found Meg Kearle in space. Kearle made her way into the box and scored from close range.
Another good though ball saw Fleur Jenkins in on goal and she coolly slotted the ball past the keeper.
Just moments later and Walkley was in firing a low shot into the bottom corner after a good ball though from Lucy Powell.
It was the same combo again for the fourth as Lucy Powell again supplied Walkley to score.
It was soon five as Kearle made her way along the by-line to slot the ball into the path of Jenkins for her second.
Walkley completed her hat trick in the 34th minute with a tap in. Meg Kearle was sent away down the right and put a perfect pass across the box for Walkley.
Alison Witts then hit the post with a near post header from Lucy Powell’s corner. Witts wasn’t to be denied for long as soon after she was in on goal and calmly turned the ball around the keeper.

Alison Witts had the Reds first chance of the half when her effort from distance went just wide of the post.
Aimee Heath just on from the bench then forced a strong hand from the keeper to stop her powerful effort.
A good ball to the left from Lucy Powell found Heath who went towards the box and with the keeper coming out, Heath side stepped past her to roll the ball into the empty net.
A Lucy Powell corner saw the Reds add another goal. With the ball sent to the far post Lexi Claytons clever run to find space allowed her to turn in from close range.
Heath went close again when Lucy Powell sent the ball across the pitch to find her in space. Heath fired across goal but narrowly missed the far post.
Lucy Powell added a tenth in the 83rd minute sending the ball past the keeper after a good ball from Maia Owen.
Good work from Ella Smitham set up Lucy Powell for her second. Smitham finding Powell just outside the box and Powell hit the ball into the top corner.
The hosts got a goal in added time when Amy Davies’ low shot found the bottom corner of the net.
