This weekend Briton Ferry Llansawel make the trip to Park Hall to face the TNS in the Adran Premier. This match will match 3rd against 2nd with both sides looking to try and stay near leaders Cardiff City.Â
The Reds opened phase two last weekend against Cardiff City losing 2-0 to the Bluebirds. Goals from Ffion Price and Mackenzie Olden in the fist half enough for the leaders to take the three points.Â
TNS’ opening game also saw them lose as they went down 3-1 to in-form Wrexham. Two goals in two minutes from Ava Suckley gave Wrexham the lead at the Rock but molly Havard made it 2-1 before half time. Carra Jones restored the lead in the 56th minute and Wrexham head on for the win.Â
Today’s game will be important for both sides as they look to stop Cardiff collecting a third Adran Premier title in a row. The Bluebirds are eight points ahead of the chasing pack with Ferry on 29, TNS on 27, and Wrexham on 25.Â

The two sides will know each other well after meeting four times this season. Both league encounters have been drawn with TNS winning in the Adran Trophy 3-2 and winning a penalty shootout after a 2-2 draw at The Renewable Centre Stadium in the Welsh Cup.Â
All four games and been tightly contested a 1-1 draw in October saw the Reds play with 10 players for half an hour after Courtney Young’s red card. Olivia Kett-White playing the last half hour in goals for the Reds.Â
In January the sides met in the Adran Trophy semi final at Park Hall. The Saints made a late comeback to win in added time. Goals from Lucy Powell and Maia Owen gave the Reds a 2-0 lead at half time but TNS made a late come back with Chantelle Teare scoring the winning goal.Â

The next meeting saw a thrilling 2-2 draw at The Renewable Centre Stadium. A Lucy Powell penalty gave the Reds the lead in first half added time. In the 59th minute the Reds were down to 10 players after a second yellow car for Laura-May Walkley. Lexi Jones equalised as the Saints took advantage of the Reds having a player down injured. Jones then added a second with nine minutes to go. With the game deep into added time Jess Denscombe sent the ball over the Saints defence and found Meg Kearle who equalised in the sixth minute of added time.Â
The last meeting of the sides came in the Welsh Cup with Olivia Buckland giving the Saints the lead after 20 minutes. Tija Richardson levelled for the Reds in the 62nd minute but the Saints responded straight away with Molly Havard. The Reds again levelled late on as jade Crofts scored on her Ferry debut. TNS were able to win in the shootout and advance to the semi final.Â
