League leaders Briton Ferry Llansawel make the trip to Oswestry to face The New Saints. This match will be the first meeting between the sides.
TNS won the Adran Premier Plate last season under Greg Draper. Shauna Duffy takes over this season as Head Coach this season and the club have moved into a semi-professional model. The Saints have been busy over the summer with ten new signings coming in the most notable being Cymru international Maria Francis-Jones from Burnley.
The Reds have made a flying start to the Adran Premier with three wins from three games. Opening with a 4-0 win over Aberystwyth the Reds went on to beat Wrexham 3-0 and Cardiff Met 5-0 putting them top on goal difference.
The Saints have also made a good start to the league this season winning their opening two games and then suffering a narrow defeat to champions Cardiff City.
TNS opened the season with a 5-0 win over Barry Town. They followed that game with a 6-1 win over Aberystwyth Town at Park Hall. Their last match saw them lose 2-0 at Cardiff City Stadium against Cardiff City. Chantelle Teare has been an integral part of TNS's good start with two goals and two assists this season.
The promises to be a tough test for the Reds, manager Rhys James sharing his thoughts saying,
"I'm expecting this to be one of the most difficult tests this season.
"TNS will be no easy place to go and they have started really well.
"They have some exiting talent in that squad which we've seen have scored a few goals this season.
"I've seen they got a full Welsh international and players who have played at a good level, so they'll certainly be right up there this season."
Cymru International Maria Francis-Jones joined the Saints over the summer and has three assists so far this season.
Maia Owen scored her third of the season in the Reds last match when she hit the second goal in a 5-0 win over Met. That goal see's her jointly top the goalscoring charts with three along with Cardiff City's Ffion Price. Rhys James commented her fantastic start to the season,
"Maia has made a terrific start with us, not only on the pitch but a great person around the girls too.
"I have been really impressed with her work rate and her ability around the box.
"She is still very young, with plenty more learning to go, but hopefully we can help her towards that.
"I think she has a bright future"
The Reds manager also went on to praise the whole squad and believes his squad contains the right mix of youth and experience,
"There are lots of players in this squad that also have a bright future
"We've got a great mix of experience and youth and I think to succeed, you need that.
"All learning from one another and building a positive club!"
