Cardiff Met are the visitors to Old Road this weekend as Briton Ferry Llansawel continue their Adran Premier campaign.
After two wins from the opening two games the Reds will look to continue their impressive start to the season. Met will offer another tough test for Rhys James' side despite their poor start to the season.
The Archers sit sixth in the Adran Premier table having lost both of their opening two games. However they have faced two tough opponents in Cardiff City and Swansea City. The Reds manager is aware of the potential danger that Met can offer saying,
"Met have played arguably the two best sides in the league but they did lead in both games so I imagine they'll start brightly against us."
Chelsea Cochrane put Met ahead against the Swans on the opening day and India Shannan gave them the lead against Cardiff City. They may have gone own to lose both those games but they have arguably had the hardest start to the league. Met have seen some of their key players leave but are building a talented young squad who can pose a danger to the Reds.
"I know they got some young talented players who can score goals and create.
"We need to nullify that threat early in the game.
"Very similar to the Wrexham game, we got to make it uncomfortable for them and hopefully we start the game just as bright as we did on Sunday."
The Reds defence put in a fine performance last week with Courtney Young making several top draw saves and Lowri Ridings and Brooke Llewellyn rock solid in central defence. Ferry will need to defend well again this week as Met have some very talented attackers in their squad. India Shannan, Emily Bayliss Molly Chapman and Chelsea Cochrane all posing a danger.
The game at Old Road will give the Reds another chance to continue their unbelievable record at their home ground. James though made it clear that the team can't rely on home form alone,
"As I mentioned last week, I want us to make sure teams know they got to do a lot to take points away from us here.
"We want to be the ones to dictate the games at home and then carry this into our away form.
"We can't just rely on Old Road for points."
With momentum on the Reds side James is hopeful for another good performance,
"After a good opening two fixtures, we'd like to keep that momentum going.
"Fingers crossed the rain holds off and we can put on another great performance at Old Road."
