TNS are the visitors to Old Road this weekend in the Adran Premier as Briton Ferry Llansawel look to maintain second place in the table. The Saints are currently in third place and a win for either side will see them go second in the table with two games of phase one to play.
The Reds come into this game on the back a hard win win over Aberystwyth Town on Thursday night. A Laura-May Walkley goal in the 82nd minute which moved Ferry into second. TNS come into the game on the back of a 4-3 defeat to Cardiff City. Grace Dunkerly, Lia Lewis and Chantelle Teare with the goals for the Saints.
TNS have been enjoying a good season with seven wins and just two defeats in the league. They have 23 points and are just one behind the Reds and five behind leaders Cardiff City. A win for the Saints would see them jump above Ferry, while a win for Ferry would move them to four points clear of third place. Both sides have already confirmed their places in the top four for phase two and will both want to keep in touch with the leaders. (Cardiff City face Swansea City at home today)
The sides have met twice this season already and will face off in the Welsh Cup quarter final later this month. The first meeting between the sides came in the Adran Premier and ended in a 1-1 draw with the Reds playing a part of the game with 10 players after Courtney Young was sent off. Olivia Kett-White went in goal for the remainder of the game and Ferry held out for a draw. The second meeting came in the Adran Trophy. TNS hitting three late goals in book a place in the final.
