A late strike from Alison Witts gave the Reds a 2-1 win over Cwmbran Celtic in their final league game of the season. The win sees the Reds complete a perfect campaign with 12 wins from 12 games.
A much-changed Ferry line up faced a tough test against an in-form Celtic, who could have secured second place with a win. Meg Kearle put Ferry ahead after 25 minutes in what was an even fist half.
The second half again was closely fought, and the hosts were awarded a penalty on the hour. Lowri Ridings adjudged to have handled the ball in the box. Cwmbran captain took and scored the penalty to level the game. Cwmbran pushed for a second with Jade Crofts having chances, but the Reds broke late on to win the game. Alison Witts netting her 28th goal of the season to win it.
The Reds will now look to prepare for a potential promotion play-off with Llandudno on April 21st.
Cwmbran had an early free kick which they sent into the Ferry box. Olivia Kett-White was first to the ball to clear away the danger.
Cerys Shipley sent a good ball across the Reds goal for Fiona Antony who sent an effort just wide of the post.
Lowri Ridings slid a fine pass though the Cwmbran defence spotting the run of Meg Kearle. Kearle took the ball in her stride and fired Ferry into the lead.
Alison Witts worked the ball out wide to Lowri Baker who hit a shot straight at the keeper.
Witts then won the ball on the left before cutting inside to take a shot. Her effort however went straight to the keeper.
Jade Crofts went close on a quick counterattack, but Courtney Young got down well to save her low shot.
Alison Witts tried from just outside the box, but Alex Cridland saved her effort.
Young made another good save as Crofts found some space on the edge of the box. Hitting a shot at goal Young was able to turn it around the post.

Meg Kearle swung a corner into the near post and found the head of Olivia Kett-White who headed just over the bar.
Lowri Ridings sent a ball towards the box looking for Lowri Baker, but the keeper was able to get there first to clear.
Cwmbran were awarded a penalty when the ball hit the hand of Ridings from close range. Eloise Meany sent Young the wrong way to level the game.
Jade Crofts had a good chance to give the host’s the lead but her shot flashed over the bar.
Witts sent the ball into the box to Lowri Baker who then played it back to Witts. Witts hit a shot, but it was high and over the bar.
As the game enter the last five minutes Alison Witts was sent in on goal from Lowri Baker’s flick and struck a low shot into the bottom corner.
