A first half goal from Evie Norris was enough to give Briton Ferry a huge away win in the Adran Under 19’s South.
The Reds controlled the game and created lots of chances while giving their opponents very little. Norris struck after 24 minutes after a heavy period of Ferry pressure. Throughout the game they created many good chances to grab a second with the Met keepers making several good saves.
The Reds defence gave Met hardly anything to work with and their only real chance came late on but Georgia Cobley made a good save to clinch the three points for the Reds.
The Reds remain fourth in the table with six wins from nine games.
Ferry won an early corner which Mia Pritchard sent into the near post but the keeper was able to collect.
The Reds soon had another corner again taken by Pritchard to the near post. As Met tried to clear Catryn Edwards won the ball and played it back to Pritchard who fired at goal but the keeper saved.
A good ball out to the right sent Edwards away, she made her way towards goal but her effort was wide.
Chloe Rudge spot the ball on the edge of the box and tested the gloves of the Met keeper with a decent shot at goal.
Catryn Edwards went close when she spun away from a defender and fired a shot on turn narrowly shooting wide.
The Reds kept turning up the pressure and Harley Hodge saw her effort cleared on the line. It was just moments later that the Reds took the lead. Evie Norris with a good low shot after another good ball into the box from Edwards.
Chloe Rudge saw another effort saved by the keeper as she looked to put the ball in the near post from the edge of the box.
Rudge then had another go from the edge of the box and this time her effort hit the bar.

The Reds were forced into a change at half time as Mia Pritchard was forced off and replaced by Grace Hughes.
Chloe Rudge tried from distance but her shot was over the bar as the Reds looked to continue their pressure from the first half.
Gwen Phillips was picked out ij the box and hit a good effort that needed a good save from the Met keeper.
Met tried to come back into the game and had a shot at goal but it was straight at Georgia Cobley.
Meg Copeland then went close with her header flashing over the bar from Grace Hughes’ corner.
As the final minute approached Met did get one las chance to snatch a draw. Launa D’Ambrosio breaking though but Cobley was alert and denied the Met forward with a good save after having very little to do.
