Briton Ferry Llansawel moved to top of the Adran Premier after hammering Cardiff Met 5-0 at Old Road. Not Only do the Reds top the table but they have won 24 consecutive league matches at Old Road.
The Reds started well again as they looked to maintain their good start to the season. They put Met under pressure from the off and Alice Broadley went close before Tija Richardson forced the keeper in a save. Alison Witts put the Reds ahead in the 29th minute after a good spell of Ferry pressure. Maia Owen doubled the Reds lead before half time with her goal after 43 minutes.
The second half again saw the Reds create the better chances and pressure their opponents more. Met did have a spell of pressure but Maia Owen's second of the game gave Ferry some breathing room. With ten minutes to play Catryn cook came off the bench to the fourth for the Reds. In added time cook added a fifth as she scored her second of the game.
The win puts the Reds top of the Adran Premier table ahead of Cardiff City on goal difference.
The Reds made a bright start and Laura-May Walkley sent Powell away down the left. Powell put a good ball across the box but it was just behind Maia Owen’s run.
Another chance as Walkley put the ball into the path of Alison Witts. Witts played the ball out to Alice Broadley who tried to curl the ball in from the outside of the box, but her effort was just wide.
Powell won the ball on the left on played it to Richardson. Richardson made her way into the box switching the ball to Walkley. Walkley hit the ball across goal but Met half got it away. Tija Richardson connected with the loose ball but her effort was straight at the keeper.
Ferry took the lead from a Lucy Powell free kick which she sent into the box from the left. The Met keeper came to claim it but punched the ball right to Richardson who played it to Alison Witts who slide the ball into the empty net.
The Reds had another free kick this time on the right side which Lucy Powell took. This time she went for goal but put it over the bar.
Alison Witts held the ball up well and hit a shot on the turn that need a good save from the keeper. First to the ball was Walkley who fired it across goal and found Maia Owen at the back post who tapped home.

Maia Owen put a cross in for the right and Alison stuck the ball at goal. Her shot was blocked and seemed to hit the hand of a Met player but the ref disagreed.
Ferry won a free kick out on the right which Lucy Powell tried to turn in but her effort ended on the roof of the net.
The Reds had another call for a handball this time Walkley shot struck the out stretched arm of a Met defender but again the ref did not award a penalty.
Witts played a fine pass into Maia Owen who run into the box and went around the keeper. Owen went to put the ball in the net but a Met player did well to block her effort.
After absorbing some Met pressure the Reds were back on the front foot and scored their third. Maia Owen sending the ball into the near post were the Met keeper let the ball though her hands.
Fleur Jenkins played a nice one-two with Megan Kearle before hitting a shot forcing a good save from the keeper. From the resulting corner Ferry scored a fourth. Catryn Cook heading in at the far post after just having come on.
Met had a late corner and Ferry caught them on the counter. Fleur Jenkins breaking away and finding Alice Broadley. Broadley’s shot was saved but Catryn Cook hammered home the rebound.
