Briton Ferry won their second Adran South match as they beat Cascade YC 2-0 at Old Road. Two first half goals were enough for the win after a hard fought second half.
The first half saw Ferry dominate and press Cascade high up the pitch. Playing with pace and passing the ball well Cascade found it hard to get out of their own half.
Cascade started the second better and were able to get the ball into The Red’s half. The visitors were more aggressive in going to the ball and made it hard for the Reds. After having the better of the first half the second was much more evenly contested.
Chelsea Deacon got the opening goal after just five minutes as the Reds started the game on the front foot. After the quick start the game became tighter but Ferry still creating more. Lowri Ridings made it 2-0 after 31 minutes.
Briton Ferry now sit top of the Adran South with six points, having a better goal difference than Pontardawe Town.
An early chance came for the Reds as Fleur Jenkins sent a ball though the Cascade defence sending Megan Kearle away. Kearle ran into the box and shot but it was straight at Kirsty Lewis.
Ferry soon took the lead with a lovely piece of football that saw Ela Roberts sending Megan Kearle down the right. Kearle put the ball into the box to Laura-Way Walkley who found Chelsea Deacon free. Deacon fired into the near post past Lewis.
Deacon soon had another chance latching onto a ball over the top and cutting into the box. She tried for the near post again, but Lewis saved.
Megan Kearle won a free kick 30 yards out that was taken by Lucy Powell. Powell went for goal and tested the gloves of the keeper.
A poor kick out from Lewis fell to Walkley but she hit her shot wide of the target. A good chance that should made it two nil.
The second goal did come from captain Lowri Ridings. Cascade keeper Kirsty Lewis unable to deal with the ball and after bobbling around Ridings headed in from close range.
The ball was in the net for a third time as Walkley sent Megan Kearle though on goal. Kearle poked the ball past the keeper and as it was heading in blew the whistle as Lewis had fouled Kearle. Instead of the goal it was a free kick to Ferry. Lewis was booked for the challenge and lucky to escape a red being the last player. Lucy Powell took the free kick but put it wide.

Chelsea Deacon sent a ball though that Megan Kearle picked up and ran in the box. As she steps up to shoot Charli Carroll came across and put in a vital tackle to stop the chance at goal.
Chelsea Deacon put the ball into the box from a free kick on the left, but Cascade were able to clear.
Cascade were trying to the Reds back and made it hard for the home side by pressing higher and stopping Ferry playing the ball around.
A free kick for Cascade just inside the Ferry half was sent into the box. No one attacked the ball, and it was easy to collect for Courtney Young.
Cascade made a quick counter and sent Annalise Lewis away she took a shot from the right, but it was well wide.
Megan Kearle put a good cross into the box which Jess Denscombe almost connected with at the near post.
A cross into the box from Annalise Lewis found the head of Sian Rees. Rees headed at goal, but it was a comfortable save for Courtney Young.
Alice Broadley tired a lob over Kirsty Lewis, but the Cascade keeper was able to grab the ball out of the air.
Chelsea Deacon whipped in a corner to the near post which Brooke Llewellyn met, but she was unable to turn it goal wards.
Daisy Evan-Watkins went for goal from a long-range free kick, but her effort went straight to Young.
Jess Denscombe made a run towards the box and put an effort towards the top corner. Kirsty Lewis got a hand to it to turn it over the bar.
With time running our Cascade pushed further forward and Annalise Lewis broke though down the right. She hit a shot which forced a good save from Young.
Cascade were unable to find a goal and Ferry picked up a big in the Adran South.
