Briton Ferry Llansawel were beaten in their opening game of the Adran Premier phase two by league leaders Cardiff City. Two first half goals from Ffion Price and Mackenzie Olden giving Cardiff the win.
Cardiff made a fast start to the game and put the Reds under pressure early on. Shannon Evans headed over before Ffion Price give the Bluebirds the lead direct from a corner after 15 minutes. Mackenzie Olden doubled the led in the 25th minute heading in from close range. Ferry had chances as Tija Richardson hit the side netting and Lowri Ridings saw her header saved.
The second half saw the Reds battle to get back into the game and the match became a hard fought contest. The Reds created more as they pushed forward but were unable to break down the Champions.

Cardiff had an early chance from a corner when the ball found Shannon Evans. Evans header though wen over the bar.
The visitors early pressure told as Cardiff won a corner in the 15th minute. Ffion Price took the corner and the ball curled in the far post.
Alison Witts was able to poke the ball though the City defence looking for Laura-May Walkley. Under pressure from the Cardiff defenders Walkley was able to find Lucy Powell who hit a shot but it was blocked.
Cardiff made it 2-0 in the 25th minute when Mackenzie Olden head in from close. Shannon Evans had headed at goal but her effort was denied as Courtney Young tipped it on to the bar but Olden got to the rebound.
Jess Denscombe tried from distance with the keeper off her line but the City keeper was able to claim.
Ferry then had another chance from a Lucy Powell free kick. Powell sent the ball into the box and it came out to Lowri Ridings who headed at goal but too close to the keeper.
A quick break saw Walkley sent though but under pressure her effort went wide of the target.

Cardiff tried to work a quick counter attack and sent Mackenzie Olden though. Lowri Ridings though was able to get back and make the tackle.

Ayan Welch won the ball in the middle and sent it into the box. Walkley made a run to the ball but was beaten to it by the Cardiff keeper.
Alice Broadley whipped a cross into the box looking to find Maia Owen at the back post. Owen was unable to get the ball and Cardiff cleared.
The Reds had a free kick out wide which Jess Denscombe sent into the box. Alison Witts tried to send the ball goal wards but her effort went to the keeper.
Brooke Llewellyn sent the ball forward from a free kick and found Alison Witts. Witts flicked the ball on but the keeper was able to get to it before Walkley.
Ferry almost had one back after a long ball forward was almost turned past the keeper by Jade Crofts.
Walkley got the ball into the run of Jade Crofts who took a shot at goal. From a wide angle Crofts shot was saved by then keeper.
Deep into added time and the Reds kept pushing and Crofts sent another effort at goal. Crofts picked up the ball outside the box and cut past a defender before shooting but the keeper saved.
